This week, with immense gratitude and deep appreciation, we bid farewell to Rabbi Greg Alexander and his family as they embark on an exciting new chapter in the United Kingdom.
For many years, Rabbi Greg has been a guiding light within the Cape Town Jewish community. Through his leadership, wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to Progressive Judaism, he has touched countless lives and helped shape a vibrant, inclusive, and deeply connected community.
At Habonim Dror, we have been privileged to experience Rabbi Greg's dedication firsthand. Year after year, he has played an invaluable role in supporting and enriching our movement. His presence has helped make each Machaneh a richer and more meaningful experience, bringing Jewish learning, reflection, and inspiration to our movement in a uniquely accessible way.
We are equally grateful to the entire Kuti-Alexander family for their involvement, support, and partnership over the years, especially Rabbi Andi. Together, they have contributed so much to the fabric of Jewish life in Cape Town, and their impact will continue to be felt long after their departure.
While it is never easy to say goodbye to leaders who have become such an integral part of our community, we know that the same passion, kindness, and dedication that have enriched Jewish life in South Africa will undoubtedly make a profound impact in their new home.
As you begin your journey to Alyth, we wish you every success, happiness, and blessing. May this next chapter be filled with meaningful connections, exciting opportunities, personal growth, and continued inspiration.
Thank you, Rabbi Greg, for your leadership, your friendship, your teachings, and your unwavering support of Habonim Dror. Thank you for helping shape our community, our movement, and the lives of so many young people.
From all of us at Habonim Dror Southern Africa, L'hitraot and safe travels ❤️💙
