Adopt A Boxer Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the northeast that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes unwanted and abandoned boxer dogs and their friends. We strive to inform others about the realities of pet ownership, promote neutering, and encourage responsible care. It is our hope that our efforts will enhance the lives of people as well as companion animals. Help us to help boxers.

Please give a gentle welcome to Lilly Rae's son, Alan. For the past 7 years of his life, Alan has survived in a home fueled by mental illness and breeding.

Alan needs a quiet, low traffic home, to truly and deeply decompress. Despite exisiting in a hoard with many other dogs, all competing for food and space, Alan remains a shy but very kind soul, who needs someone to hold his paw and show him what the good life is like. He needs a conflict free environment, built on consistency, patience, and understanding, to help him find what he so desperately needs - peace and safety.

Alan would do best with a securely fenced in yard, as walks would be asking too much of him right now. And while Alan is dog social, we would like him to live in a home without other dogs, to allow him time to become his best self.

This brave soul has a team behind him that will support whoever is willing to open their heart and home to him.

Please only apply if you are true of heart and commit to providing Alan everything he needs to thrive. He deserves to know peace, happiness, and most of all, a love that doesn't hurt.

We want to introduce you to Dinah.

Dinah is a big, beautiful, bodacious boxer girl. She is everything you need but didn’t know you wanted.
Dinah has an European boxer shape. She is taller and heavier than an American boxer shape. She is dog friendly with the cutest wiggle when she see one! Dinah is human friendly with both adults and children of all ages. She is comfortable enough to be an only but loves other dogs and playmates that we would prefer for her happiness to have a forever playmate in her home. A fence yard to romp and explore is a huge bonus.

Dinah is house and crate trained. She knows sit and immediately gives you her big bear 🐻 paw ❤️ it’s so sweet. Speaking of sweet she is as sweet as maple 🍁 syrup and deserves a home that has the space for this beautiful girl.

Dinah came to us from the puppy mill circuit. She was bred once and her pups delivered early and didn’t survive so she was passed on to another. They tried to breed her but it failed. That was the lucky break for Dinah as they were headed west for the winter and need to unload her which was our lucky 🍀 break to save her from going to another mill.

Raise your hand if you remember SQUISHY 🙋🙋‍♀️

Just a few days ago, we shared that Squishy was set to be euthanized because of his fearful behavior in an overcrowded shelter. Our team members made fast work of getting him out.
Today, he is learning to navigate life outside of the chaos and stress of that environment, and embracing what it means to be safe.

Squishy would really love a foster or adopter to help him along in his soul healing journey. He's a super happy guy, despite what he's been through. He's showing us who he is and we are giving him the time he needs to rediscover what was taken from him.

This handsome guy will do best in a home with a female dog his size 🐶 , and a securely fenced in yard, which will allow him to explore and decompress without any added stress.

At just 2 years old, Jelly Bean has already spent too much of her life in a world that was far too small. Released from a puppy mill, this sweet girl is beginning a new chapter — one filled with kindness, comfort, and the love she always deserved. 🐾

Please take a moment to open your heart and read about our sweet 💜Midas💜

Midas needs a very special home, called a forever foster. Basically, a home willing to pack a lifetime of love into whatever time he has left on this earth.

You see, Midas has been diagnosed with late stage, chronic kidney disease. He's been dealing with this long before he found his way to rescue. Our A-Team of internal medical specialists, Dr's Milligan and Palma at Guardian Veterinary Specialists have formulated a plan consisting of prescription food and oral medication to help support Midas. He's eating well, loves taking walks, and is so very loving. This angel boy has no idea that he's even sick.

Right now, Midas is in boarding. He's been there for quite some time, waiting for someone to choose him. And now, he's been given a diagnosis that will make it even more challenging for him to find a family.

We know it's a big ask. But it's not an impossible ask. If you can find it in your heart to be Midas' fospice (foster/hospice), we'd be so grateful. His time shouldn't be spent in boarding. He should be a part of a family and experience all the beauty that comes with that, every single day for the rest of his life, however long that may be.

Midas is approximately 2 years old and does well with female dogs. He is so full of gratitude and love 💜 and wants nothing more than to be a part of something special.
