The York County Residential Construction Training Program returns August 11 through September 18, offering hands-on training designed to prepare participants for careers in the construction industry.

Participants will gain practical experience in:

🛠 Tool usage
⚠️ Construction safety

Eligible participants can earn industry-recognized certifications, connect with local employers, and develop real-world skills that can lead to employment opportunities in the building trades.

Seeking Part-Time Program Assistant!

The York Builders Association Workforce NOW Foundation is seeking a part-time Program Assistant (approximately 20 hours/week) to support the coordination of workforce development programs, events, and administrative operations that connect students, schools, and employers to careers in the building industry.

This flexible role includes assisting with major events such as the Career Fair and Construction Career Days, supporting pre-apprenticeship programming, and advancing the Foundation’s mission to build the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

🛠️ Congratulations to our 2026 Tool Scholarship recipients!

The YBA Workforce NOW Foundation awarded $250 Tool Scholarships to three students pursuing careers in the skilled trades:
🔧 Jax Davis, Red Lion Area Senior High School
🔧 Jack Bodell, Red Lion Area Senior High School
🔧 Trevor McWilliams, Dallastown Area High School

All three recipients are graduates of our Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program and are continuing their paths in the construction industry.

These scholarships help students purchase the tools they need to begin building successful careers in the trades. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of them!
