Junior Achievement of South Central PA Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their future economic success.

JA programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. JA's unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver our curriculum while sharing their experiences with students. Embodying the heart of JA, our 1,800 classroom volunteers transform the key concepts of our lessons into a message that inspires and empowers students to believe in themselves, showing them that they can make a difference in the world. Junior Achievement's unique delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to bolster the chances for student success. We help arrange for business people and local community leaders to visit classrooms a few times or throughout the semester. They volunteer to share their workforce experience with students, all while teaching sound economic principles and reinforcing class curricula.

Happy National Savings Day!

At Junior Achievement, we believe it’s never too early to start learning about money! That’s why we begin teaching students about saving as early as kindergarten.

From learning the difference between wants and needs to understanding why saving matters, JA helps students build financial habits that can last a lifetime.

Because when it comes to saving, starting small can lead to big things!

STEM Summit is taking students to the waterfront!

Our JA STEM Summit's new Maritime module gives students an exciting look at careers in the maritime industry—and a chance to experience virtual welding using Oculus technology!

It’s hands-on, high-tech learning that brings STEM careers to life and helps students see themselves in industries they may not have considered before.

Who knows? Tomorrow’s welders, engineers, and maritime professionals may be in the classroom today!
