We’re currently affiliated with Creative Hub Worcester (nonprofit organization) to provide a safe haven for artists/creatives of colored who want to enhance their talents or get inspired and that’s how WavvzNewage HQ started, we believe in the power of peers learning together . WavvzNewage HQ aims are to:
Increase professional preparation and exploration within the Worcester Community
Increase the sense of identity, self-esteem and leadership skills
With the goal to help re-shape, transform and empower the next generation! Wavvz clothing brand consist of custom made/tailored outfits based on the individual’s story/history and liking from fabrics to cuts and special accents. This year’s theme, “Every Stitch Tells a Story,” is a reminder that behind every garment is an idea, a journey, and a young designer learning to trust their creativity.

On August 22, they’ll bring those stories to the runway at the Worcester Art Museum 🤍

After eight weeks of sketching, sewing, learning, creating, problem-solving, and bringing their ideas to life, our young designers are getting ready to show Worcester what they’ve been working so hard on.

Come celebrate an evening of youth creativity, fashion, music, and community, featuring the WAVVZ Concepts Shop 🌊 Collection presented by Qdemigod, with special performances by Crocodile River Music and Samini Dagaati

Week 1 of WAVVZ of Stitching Summer Fashion Program 2026 ✂️🪡

Our young designers began the program surrounded by creativity, mentorship, and artists who encouraged them to explore their ideas and trust their own voices.

Another great evening in our Adult Sewing Class! 🧵🪡

One student came in completely new to sewing, while another was returning to a skill she hadn’t used in years. Watching both of them build confidence, learn new techniques, and leave with a finished project is exactly why we do this work.

At WAVVZ NewAge, our classes are designed for all skill levels whether you’re just getting started or picking sewing back up after years away. 💙

No experience needed, just a willingness to learn and create.

As the North High internship comes to an end, we wanted to highlight one of the projects our interns worked on this semester through WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab the “Warm Hearts” Project led by our Executive Director 🤍

Through this project, students created handmade scarves, tote bags, hygiene care packages, and 3D printed hearts for members of the homeless community while learning hands-on creative and production skills throughout the process.

From cutting fabric, sewing and serging scarves, designing labels, assembling over 50 bags, documenting projects through photography, and learning different creative workflows alongside our Lead Creative Director , students gained real experience through teamwork, design, and community service.

Some care packages will be handed directly to individuals on Main Street, while others will be donated to to continue supporting members of the community.

Proud of this group and everything they’ve learned throughout this internship experience. ✨
