Whether you’ve always wanted to learn how to sew, explore fashion design, try graphic design, or simply spend time in a creative space, we have something for you this month at WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab.

This month we’re offering Adult Sewing Classes, Youth Sewing Classes, Graphic Design, Open Lab Studio Time, and Teen Open Studio.

No experience is needed just come ready to learn, create, and have fun 🤩

Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation with fashion through visual arts and creative experiences, and we love seeing new faces join us every month. 💙💗

For the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to create a space where creativity can grow. ✨

At WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab, we’re helping bring sewing, fashion, design, and hands-on creativity back into our community through:

We’re still growing, still building, and still bringing our vision to life, but we’re excited to open our doors and share what we’ve been working on.

This summer, we’ll also be launching our first WAVVZ Summer Fashion Program focused on sewing, fashion, creativity, and self-expression. Stay tuned for more details! 👀✨

As the North High internship comes to an end, we wanted to highlight one of the projects our interns worked on this semester through WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab the “Warm Hearts” Project led by our Executive Director 🤍

Through this project, students created handmade scarves, tote bags, hygiene care packages, and 3D printed hearts for members of the homeless community while learning hands-on creative and production skills throughout the process.

From cutting fabric, sewing and serging scarves, designing labels, assembling over 50 bags, documenting projects through photography, and learning different creative workflows alongside our Lead Creative Director , students gained real experience through teamwork, design, and community service.

Some care packages will be handed directly to individuals on Main Street, while others will be donated to to continue supporting members of the community.

Proud of this group and everything they’ve learned throughout this internship experience. ✨

✨ We are deeply honored and grateful to the Esler Family Foundation, through , for supporting WAVVZ of Stitching, our Youth Fashion & Creative Workforce Program 🧵🪡

The Esler Family Foundation is committed to supporting youth opportunity, mental health, and economic mobility values that strongly align with the work we do every day at WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab.

Founded and led by co-founders Fashion Designer and , Executive Director. WAVVZ of Stitching creates space for youth and young adults to step into creativity in a real and meaningful way. Through hands-on work on sewing machines, garment construction, and design, participants learn how to take an idea from concept to creation developing their own pieces while building a vision that extends far beyond the classroom.

At WAVVZ NewAge Creative Lab, the way we teach is intentional. We believe in creating environments where young people feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow where they can explore their identity, express themselves freely, and develop skills that connect directly to real creative pathways. Whether they are touching a sewing machine for the first time or expanding on skills they already have, each participant is guided through a process that builds not only technical ability, but also teamwork, communication, and a deeper understanding of what is possible for their future.

This support, through the Inspiring Generosity Matching Grant, allows us to expand access for youth across Worcester and continue building opportunities rooted in creativity, confidence, and workforce development.

We are truly thankful for partners who believe in this vision and for the trust placed in our work as we continue creating spaces where the next generation can grow, lead, and create with purpose 💜

This powerful community event honors individuals affected by cancer and HIV/AIDS through art, fashion, storytelling, and unity. We’re grateful to be part of a night that celebrates strength, healing, and resilience while bringing together families, models, designers, and community partners.

These amazing young leaders sewed tote bags and filled them with hygiene items, baby essentials, and food products — all made with love, compassion, and purpose. 🧵👜🍼
