🩶For the month of October, It was time for our third quarterly donation to the Madison County Child Advocacy Center in Wood River, IL once again!

The CAC does incredible work providing a safe haven, professional intervention, and support for children healing from abuse. To help make their young visitors feel comfortable and safe during a difficult time, we dropped off another round of snacks to keep their pantry fully stocked.

🍬🎃 What a SPOOKTACULAR afternoon! 👻

The Madison County Child Advocacy Center had a great time passing out candy at Treats on the Streets in downtown Highland! We loved seeing all the smiling faces, enjoying the Halloween fun, and having the opportunity to connect with our amazing community. 🧡

The Madison County Child Advocacy Center is incredibly proud and honored to celebrate two amazing members of our team, Jennifer, our Forensic Interviewer Supervisor, and Sherri, our Case Manager Supervisor, as they received First Responder Awards for their outstanding dedication and service to our community!

Every day, Jennifer and Sherri go above and beyond to ensure that every child who walks through our doors is heard, supported, and connected with the resources and services they need. Their compassion, commitment, and hard work make a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

What an incredible evening witnessing our community come together to recognize and celebrate the amazing first responders who dedicate their lives to serving others!

A special thank you to Senator Erica Harriss for hosting such a wonderful event and for recognizing the individuals who make a difference in our community.

🎃👻 LIVE from the Madison County Child Advocacy Center! 👻🎃

If you know us, you know Halloween is one of our FAVORITE holidays! 🧡🖤 So, we decided to celebrate with a festive potluck and dress up as some of our favorite Saturday Night Live characters! 😂🎭

Nothing beats a little holiday fun, delicious food, and team building with an amazing group of people! ❤️ We love finding ways to celebrate together, share some laughs, and strengthen our team spirit!

The Madison County Child Advocacy Center Prevention Team is back at it again!

Our prevention team is out in the community doing what they do best: empowering children with the knowledge and confidence to keep themselves safe.

Through our prevention programming, we talk with children about recognizing boundary violations, identifying trusted adults they can turn to when something doesn’t feel right, and using their voices to speak up and get the help they need.

Every conversation is an opportunity to empower a child, build confidence, and help create a safer community for all children.

Technology plays an integral part in the work done every day at the Madison County Child Advocacy Center. We are incredibly grateful to the Wood River Refinery for continuing their technology partnership with the Madison County Child Advocacy Center. Their ongoing support helps make necessary technology upgrades possible, allowing our team to have the tools and resources we need to continue serving children and families in our community.From the work happening inside the Center's walls to the work happening out in the community through our Prevention Programming, technology helps make this important work possible. THANK YOU for continuing to be part of this important work.

We are so proud of our amazing Forensic Interviewer Supervisor, Jennifer! 💙

Jennifer spent her week with Children's Advocacy Center of Illinois (CACI) and other ChildFirst faculty members teaching and preparing future forensic interviewers to become the next generation of professionals in the CAC world.

These students were incredibly lucky to learn from such an amazing and talented forensic interviewer who has dedicated her career to ensuring that every child feels heard, supported, and connected. 💙

We are so proud of Jennifer for sharing her knowledge, experience, and passion while helping prepare the next generation of forensic interviewers. We wish all of the new interviewers the very best of luck as they step into this next chapter of their CAC journey! 👏💙
