Restore Decor has been awarded a $5,000 Community Impact Challenge Grant from the Edwardsville Community Foundation! edwcommfdn

The grant will support our Furniture Restoration Supply Project, helping provide the materials our volunteers need to restore and repurpose donated furniture — and allowing us to make an even greater impact on families and nonprofit organizations throughout our community.

There’s just one more step before the grant funds can be released: we must raise a 10% match through new donations received after the grant award.

And that’s where you can help! Every donation made toward the match brings us closer to unlocking the full $5,000 grant.

We hope we'll see you at Edwardsville CEO's golf tournament on Friday, September 25 at Oakbrook Golf Club.

Proceeds from the tournament will support Edwardsville CEO in their work to provide real-world business learning opportunities to local high school students. Eighteen holes of golf, a cart, range balls, food, and beverages are included with registration. Slots are available for hole sponsors, cart sponsors, and beverage cart sponsors.

WE'RE HIRING: The Edwardsville Public Library is seeking a youth services assistant. This position averages about 28 hours each week, and that includes days, evenings and weekends. Pay is $18/hour.
In this role, the person hired will assist with planning and implementing special events, provide library services, help design and prepare program-related art materials (bulletin boards, posters and more), create promotional flyers and help promote the library through community outreach.
Requirements include:
📚 A minimum of an associate degree with library experience or course work
📚 Experience with children's programming
📚 Experience in telling and reading stories to groups
📚 Basic computer literacy skills
We're looking for someone who is patient, has a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, interest in classic and current children's literature, basic artistic skills and more.

Do you know a nonprofit seeking funding for a project that addresses emergency and disaster preparedness? Our Relief Grants are awarded to projects in the areas of:

* Capital improvements related to emergency and disaster preparedness

* Environmental improvements related to emergency and disaster preparedness (includes training of personnel if directly related to emergency or disaster preparedness)

* Disaster and emergency support needs for long-term viability
