Riverbend Family Ministries is to provide resources and training for smaller non-profit organizations to work together under one roof. We also provide families and individuals the tools they need to be self-sufficient. We concentrate our collaborative, holistic efforts on children, youth and families who have experienced trauma - most often due to violence, addiction, poverty and homelessness. History:
RFM opened its doors in September 2007. Ribbon Cutting, on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Tammy Iskarous, Founder and Executive Director of Riverbend Family Ministries (RFM), was ecstatic to showcase her dream! RFM is a group of smaller non-profit organizations that work together under one roof, providing families and individuals the tools they need to be self-sufficient. We are excited about the opportunity that we have been given to invest in the future of families of this community. Professionals pour into the lives of our families every day. Individuals are being changed, families are being restored, and hope is being given because of your commitment to RFM . You may not see the difference; however know you are making a difference. It’s because of you we get the privilege of doing what we do every day. Be blessed and may all we do continue to be for the praise of His glory. Our collective goal is “providing strength and support to those in crisis.”

Our good friends at Effervescent Studios are helping us get ready for Christmas! We love this idea and are so grateful for their support. Can’t wait to see what their community can do!

🎄🎁 A LITTLE STUDIO. A BIG HEART. AND A WHOLE LOT OF CHRISTMAS MAGIC! ❤️

One of the greatest blessings of Effervescent Studios is watching our little dance community become something SO MUCH BIGGER than dancing! We are becoming a place where local nonprofits know they can turn when they need a helping hand, and that means the world to me! ❤️

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with the incredible folks at Riverbend Family Ministries and ask one simple question: "How can our studio community be of service?"

Their answer? Help prepare for their Christmas Giving Program! 🎅🎄

And you KNOW I couldn't just say YES without turning it into a little EFFERVESCENT CHALLENGE! 🤣

🎁 THE GREAT EFFERVESCENT CHRISTMAS WRAPPING CHALLENGE! 🎁

We have until DECEMBER 8TH to collect:
🎄 600–1,000 rolls of wrapping paper
📦 300 rolls of tape
🎀 1,000 bows
🏷️ 600–1,000 gift tags
✨ Lots of ribbon!

Now, I know those numbers sound BIG, but I've seen what this community can accomplish when we come together! ❤️

The next time you're shopping, grab an extra roll of wrapping paper, a package of bows, or some tape. It doesn't take much to make a BIG difference!

📍 Effervescent Studios will be collecting all donations!

I'll keep everyone updated as our collection grows, and we'll have some fun watching those numbers climb!

Winter is right around the corner, and Riverbend Family Ministries is gearing up to partner with the OWLs again this year.

Following an OWL (Overnight Warming Locations) activation, RFM will open its doors as a daytime warming center, providing a warm, safe, and welcoming place for individuals in our community who need it most.

We need YOU! We are looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to help us make this possible.

Volunteer opportunities include...
-Supervising the warming center
-Preparing and serving meals
-Distributing essential warming supplies
-Sorting and organizing donations
-Helping create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for our guests

Whether you can volunteer regularly or jump in occasionally, your time and compassion will make a difference!

Getting ready for Halloween with a little friendly competition!

Our RFM team and in house partner agencies put their creativity to the test with a pumpkin decorating contest, and the competition was tough!

A big thank you to our special guest judges, Kristen Burns, Executive Director of the Wood River Business Alliance, and Sgt. Aaron Burns with the Wood River Police Department, for taking on the very important job of choosing our winner.

And congrats to our winners at Amare, NFP! Their commitment to detail and some serious bedazzling paid off!

We love any excuse to bring everyone in the building together for a little fun. Happy Halloween from RFM!

A room full of love, laughter and connection. 🩵

Last week, we welcomed friends, partners and supporters to RFM for a very special Open House celebrating Tammy, welcoming Christy, and looking ahead to what’s next.

It was the perfect reflection of what RFM was founded on nearly 20 years ago and what we will always be about: people coming together to care for one another and our community.

Join us in thanking Tammy once again for the incredible foundation she has built and the countless lives she has impacted along the way.

As we head into our next 20 years of service, we hope you’ll continue to stand with us. There is so much more ahead, and we’re just getting started. 🩵

Everyone’s favorite time of year is right around the corner, and preparations for RFM’s Christmas Giving Program are officially underway! ❤️ And we need YOU to help us make it happen!

We’re collecting toys for ages 0–11, coats, hats, gloves, scarves, children’s books, board games, stocking stuffers and wrapping supplies. Donations are needed by Monday, December 14.
