This Week at Bookmarks...

MONDAY: PASSPORT CLUB RELAUNCH
Originally launched in 2024, the Passport Club is an initiative designed to help readers discover books by authors from all around the world. Readers can purchase a passport booklet from the bookstore for $10 + tax, which covers the cost of printing and staff labor. Each passport contains book recommendations for each country, and readers log which books they've read as they "travel" the world through reading. As you work your way through the passport, you'll hit milestones that can be redeemed in-store for rewards like discounts and free books.

If you've been participating in the Passport Club, you are invited to come share more about the books you've discovered in your journey. Plus, we'll have some fresh recommendations to help you continue on!

This is perfect for readers who want to explore translated literature, broaden their reading horizons, or connect with others who are doing the same.

This is free to attend. RSVPs are requested, but not required. Monday, October 12th at 6:30 PM at the Bookstore

WEDNESDAY: SPOOKY BOOK TRIVIA
Our monthly book trivia takes a spooky detour for October! Join us at Footnote Coffee and Cocktails for a Halloween-inspired trivia night. Wednesday, October 14th at 7:00 PM

FRIDAY: SIP & STITCH
Bring your quilting, embroidery, knitting, or crocheting and join us at Bookmarks! You can bring a drink or grab one next door at Footnote. We'll have space for you to work on your current project and chat with others about what you've been reading & listening to. Friday, October 16th at 5:30 PM at the Bookstore.

SATURDAY: A CONVERSATION WITH S. A. COSBY

Bookmarks is excited to welcome S. A. Cosby to Winston-Salem in celebration of his latest book, Truth to Power: A Luke Cage Marvel Crime Novel. The bestselling author of All the Sinners Bleed and Razorblade Tears brings his Southern Gothic noir style to the world of Marvel Crime in this latest thriller.

S. A. Cosby will be in conversation with Kennedy Cole, author of the forthcoming novel There Used To Be People Here (releasing 11/4). After the talk, attendees can stay for the book signing line to get books signed and personalized. Additional books will be available for purchase at the event.

Tickets are $34 (plus taxes & fees) and include admission and a copy of Truth to Power. One General Admission ticket grants admission for one person.
