Swim Guide results are in. There is a huge improvement from last week with 22 out of 26 sites passing! Abbott's Creek could not be tested this week due to road closure.

The lack of precipitation this week and higher UV index are potential causes for lower E. Coli levels.

Thank you for making our 4th Annual Farm to Fork such a memorable evening!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, donated raffle items, and helped make this event a success. From the delicious meal prepared by Chef John Wilson to Chicken P**p Bingo, raffle, and time spent together celebrating clean water, it was a wonderful night filled with community and connection.

This week's Swim Guide results are in. 9 out of 26 sites passed this week. Yadkin Riverkeeper and volunteers collect water samples weekly during the summer to test for E. Coli at river and lake accesses.

Due to the high amount of precipitation earlier this week, there are currently elevated E. Coli levels in the river.

Last chance to get tickets to our Farm to Fork this Saturday!

We must provide final entrée counts to the chef by Thursday at noon, so now is the time to reserve your spot if you plan to attend.

Guests will enjoy a beautiful evening celebrating local food, community, and clean water with a delicious farm-to-table dinner prepared by Chef John Wilson. I had the honor of working w/ Rafe as an intern w/ Friends of the Earth in DC. He was the president and I was one of several interns, but he always seemed to take the time to ask me what I was working on and to encourage me. RIP.

He pushed for the first congressional hearings on climate change and helped negotiate a landmark U.N. treaty, the Kyoto Protocol.

Our first week of Swim Guide results are in! 18 out of 21 sites sampled this week passed! Yadkin Riverkeeper and volunteers collect water samples weekly to test for E. coli at river and lake accesses.

Due to the drought, there are low water levels at Kerr Scott Lake. We will not be sampling at Fort Hamby, Boomer, and Berry Mountain until the public beaches open. With the rain and resulting runoff this weekend, it is likely bacteria levels will increase; please take extra precautions when enjoying the river!

¡Tenemos los resultados de la Guía de Natación esta semana! 18 de 21 sitios pasaron la guía de seguridad. Debido a la sequía, los niveles del lago son bajos en el lago Kerr Scott.
