Samaritan Ministries Providing food, shelter, and hope through Christian love. Samaritan Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Samaritan Ministries is a 501C3 nonprofit organization. The Samaritan Ministries Soup Kitchen operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and provides a warm lunch to anyone who would like to enjoy a healthy meal in the hospitality of our dining room. We opened in 1981 and have never closed our doors since then. We serve men, women, children, and families and provide 107,011 meals for the community in 2023. The food and preparation cost per meal is $3.66. The Samaritan Inn offers round-the-clock shelter to any homeless man who would like a safe place to rest, as well a refuge that offers redirection from some of the challenges he’s facing. In 2023 we have offered 19,248 nights of shelter to 452 different homeless men. Each 24-hour period of shelter costs $44.66 and includes three nutritious meals, clean linens, well-kept guest showers, and access to a guest laundry room. Project Cornerstone is a long-term residential recovery program serving men with a history of addiction who are also experiencing homelessness. It follows a disease model of addiction, incorporating the 12-step recovery model to create a holistic, whole-being approach to recovery. Aftercare is an essential part of the program, and former Cornerstone guests have returned to class on Tuesday nights since the program began in 1995. To date, over 200 men have been served by the program, which has an 80% success rate.

Tickets go on sale at 10 AM Eastern this Friday, October 9, at TheRamkat.com!

Covering only the best in high energy rock/pop classics from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, High School Reunion (aka HSR) conjures memories of simpler times – just like a high school reunion! Based in Winston-Salem and making its public debut in November 2021, HSR has built a loyal following and a reputation of being the best party band in the Piedmont Triad. You may have seen HSR rocking the stage at Fiddlin’ Fish’s annual throwback prom party, the Gears & Guitars festival, the Carolina Classic Fair, Kaleideum After Dark, or at High Point’s Stock + Grain Assembly. Every HSR show is a non-stop party!

This December, HSR will make its triumphant return to The Ramkat stage for its third annual Christmas Vacation extravaganza. Channeling Clark Griswold’s indomitable holiday energy, HSR will perform two sets of music – a rousing set of your favorite throwback holiday songs plus an extended set of HSR classics and crowd-pleasers. To get into the spirit of the season, attendees are strongly encouraged to wear their favorite ugly Christmas sweaters and/or Christmas Vacation-inspired attire!

HSR has partnered with Samaritan Ministries for this event – a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Samaritan Ministries, and there will be various other opportunities to support Samaritan Ministries during the show.
