GFFT was formed on the premise that access to fitness and healthy opportunities creates a foundation for lifelong success.

Join us in empowering the next generation with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. The purpose of the Gensesis Foundation for Fitness & Tennis (GFFT) is to provide funds to allow all citizens, regardless of background and means, the opportunity to participate in recreational and/or competition fitness activities. GFFT will also provide funding and scholarships for individuals interested in tennis, both for recreation and/or competition. The Foundation will provide funding to at-risk, disadvantaged and otherwise under-funded youth. We also provide athletic shoes, socks, and beds to children in our community.

What a day on the courts! 🎾

Our Aces for Academics tournament was a success, and our biggest one yet. Thirty-six players came out to compete, including 12 who were brand new to GFFT, and for the first time ever we had parent and child duos taking the court together.

Because of your registrations, donations, and mulligans, we are able to purchase 122 pairs of new shoes for local children who need them. That is 122 kids walking into school with confidence, and it happened because you showed up to play.

Nationals are in the books, and Wichita Adaptive Sports showed out! 🥇

This past week, our WAS athletes competed on a national stage, and the results speak for themselves. Every single one of them left it all out there, and the results were nothing short of incredible:

🏃‍♂️ Carson swept gold in every running event but one. His shoe came off in the final 20 meters of the 100m, and he still finished within .2 seconds of his personal record. He also set PRs in every other event he ran.
🥇 Jed took gold in every single field event he entered.
📈 Sammi set PRs in two events and placed 3rd in both shot put and discus.
⏱️ Micah shaved 4 seconds off his 800m time and placed 4th.
🏅 Isabel broke into finals in every event she competed in, placing 4th in the 1500m.
🏋️ Karter set a NATIONAL RECORD in bench press for U17, and one more WAS athlete joined him on the podium in powerlifting, both placing top 3 in their divisions.

Nationals is the biggest stage these athletes compete on all year, and this group didn't just show up, they dominated. GFFT grants help fund 34 athletes for WAS. We are proud to support a program that gives these athletes the space to push their limits and prove what's possible.

Congrats to every single athlete who competed this weekend. This is what it's all about 👏

We hosted our first ever Appreciation Luncheon last week, and it was one for the books.

This event honored the sponsors, donors, partners, and volunteers behind everything the Genesis Foundation for Fitness & Tennis does. The truth is simple: none of the good we get to do for kids in our community happens without this group. Every piece of equipment, every opportunity, every kid who gets to play, it all traces back to people who choose to give.

To everyone who has supported GFFT in ways big and small, thank you.

We’re already looking forward to celebrating together again at our 20th Anniversary Gala, Cheers to 20 Years, on November 20. More details to come soon…

Today we handed out over 250 shoes to local kids as they prepare for the upcoming school year!

We were honored to be part of the Children’s First Back-to-School market, joining so many incredible organizations to help students and families get ready for the year ahead. Every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling prepared, supported, and confident.
