Today's Food Bank Friday Fun Fact with Carol Hughes talks about a huge exciting expansion at the Kansas Food Bank with our in-house TEFAP guru, Ben Schrag!

By holding the TEFAP contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, we are able to get more food out to communities across Kansas with the goal of ultimately better serving Kansas neighbors. Check it out!

Its at the Kansas Food Bank! Today, we are welcoming over 400 volunteers throughout the day to help us pack pears for Kansas families, from 7 AM to 7 PM. How will you take action against hunger today? 🧡🍐

The short version: Paddles for Plates 2026 was AWESOME! 👏

The long(er) version: Today’s sold out pickleball tournament at Chicken N Pickle - Wichita was a record turnout, welcoming 30 teams and raising more than ever before. This day was a perfect reminder of how our community shows up for each other, and how good it feels to help out.
