The Debozy Family's story -
Kelsey was only 19 years old when she unexpectedly passed away. Her family had a hard enough time making ends meet
and was now facing the extra financial burden of funeral expenses. Imagine our surprise when we found out that the state of Kansas ended
funeral expense assistance in 2010. The funeral home that was in charge
of the arrangements refused to assist the family

by allowing them a payment plan. In fact they also said that if the bill (854.14) was not paid by a certain date,
the family would start incurring an additional $70 per day for "fees". The family started pulling money out of their grocery
fund to lay their loved one to rest. Can you imagine having to make the choice
of eating or putting your loved one to rest?!?! The Salvation Army does assist some families with expenses but it does not pay
for the entire thing. That is where we come in. We hope to be able to assist with some of the additional expenses related
to the funeral arrangements.

David passed away suddenly on September 8th 2015. He has no life insurance and has 3 beautiful daughter's left behind. Please help us with his funeral expenses and support for his children. David had a huge heart filled with love for everyone who knew him. This is a tragic loss for all of us.

It is with a heavy heart that Lois and I announce that we will be closing Kelsey's Gift Foundation due to lack of funds. We appreciate all of our followers and will re-assess in 2016.
