If you’re inspired by fall colors and want to learn to paint realistic landscapes, sign up for “Colors in Nature” with Anthony Alonzo on Wednesdays, 6–8:30 pm. In this course, students will learn to paint wildlife and nature using a variety of values and color schemes. They will learn to portray nature accurately through acrylic paintings. This fall, there is no better way to spend your Monday eveningthan by taking “Colored Pencil Magic” with Margaret Bucholz from 6:30-9 p.m.! Colored pencilis the perfect medium for those who want to expand their drawing skills and explore color in a fun new way. Students will learn color theory and mixing, then create a drawing of a subject of their choice!

Come and create colorful small clay sculptures of your choosing, dragons to dragonflies, bunnies to bananas, TVs to toasters, in other words, anything! Let your imagination soar and be inspired by others around you in this class. In the last ½ of the session, a clay animation video, including background set, will be produced together as a class. Bring your imagination and, if possible, a shoe box. (Ages 7-13)

Join us November 15th for our next workshop, "Wet-into-Wet: Material Selection and Handling of Oils"

Alla prima—often translated from Italian as "at first attempt"—describes completing a picture in a single studio session while the pigment stays wet. In this hands-on workshop, each student creates their own “exemplar,” an image designed to embody the lessons of its own creation. Using instructor-provided tools and materials, students will explore paint viscosity, pigment properties, and layer behavior across every stage of pictures development — from imprimaturs to finishing. Instruction covers paint modifiers and specialized brushes to place color cleanly without disturbing the layers below.
