Friends Association prevents homelessness for families facing housing insecurity.

Friends Association is a 200-year-old Chester County nonprofit focused on solutions to family homelessness. Every year, hundreds of families in the wealthiest county in Pennsylvania experience the trauma of homelessness. With a bold vision for change, Friends believes in the power of neighbors coming together to create a more equitable community for all. Friends’ innovative programs are focused in four key areas: preventing homelessness, providing emergency shelter, partnering with families to support their stability, and promoting systemic change.

A huge thank you to the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation Phoenixville Community Health Foundation for supporting our Eviction Prevention Case Resolution program.

This year has brought new challenges for nonprofits across our community. Funding cuts and pressure on critical safety net programs continue to stretch the organizations supporting families in Chester County. We're incredibly grateful to be recipients of this grant alongside our community partners. 💙
