SKCC provides programs to schools and community groups to educate parents, children and caregivers on a variety of injury prevention topics. Programs include: fire safety, motor vehicle safety, poison prevention, bicycle safety, water safety, school bus safety, pedestrian and home safety. Some of our activities include: bicycle rodeos, car seat safety checks, baby safety demonstrations, pedestrian safety events, and health and wellness fairs.

SKPA Stat of the Day: During the 24-25 fiscal year, Safe Kids PA groups held and participated in over 6,000 car and road safety events, which accounted for reaching almost 50,000 Pennsylvanians! 🚙
Here in Chester County, we served our local communities by holding bike safety events, going into schools and providing passenger safety education to children, working with law enforcement to educate teens about the dangers of DUI, reaching out to mature drivers with CarFit appointments and much more. We are not a large group of people, but we hope that we make a BIG in our county!

SKPA groups use Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians to check thousands of car seats each year AND distribute car seats to PA families when needed. 🚗
We are grateful to be a part of this safety initiative in our state as Safe Kids Chester County! During the 24-25 fiscal year, we served our local communities by hosting over 30 car seat check events, providing car seats to families experiencing financial hardship and helped train dozens of new car seat technicians.
