Today, MCHC honors and recognizes Juneteenth, a day that reminds us of the importance of freedom, justice, equity, and the continued work needed to support communities and families.
At MCHC, we support this day by reaffirming our commitment to advancing maternal and child health, reducing disparities, and ensuring that all families, especially those historically underserved, have access to care, education, resources, and support.
Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom, it is also a call to continue building healthier, stronger, and more equitable communities for mothers, babies, children, and families.

Are you interested in a career supporting families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum? We want to hear from you!

MCHC has two spots available for individuals interested in becoming certified full-spectrum doulas through Doula Trainings International. This training will prepare you to provide education, advocacy, and support to families during one of life's biggest transitions.

A participant contribution of $55 is required.

A very special thank you to West Chester Friends School and kindergarten teacher Senem Sacin for their incredible donation of handmade baby hats for newborns!

This school year, 10 kindergartners and elementary school students formed the baby hat kitting club and spent their afternoons making hats for babies, donating 81 cute and cozy hats to us for our families for when the cold months are back.

Just a sweet reminder that even the smallest hands can make a big impact. We're so grateful to the students, parents, and teachers who brought this together and thought of us.

This summer, join Maternal and Child Health Consortium (MCHC) for our Back to School Supply Drive to help local students head back to school feeling confident and ready to learn.

We’re working together to make sure children and families have access to the essentials—from health insurance, vaccinations, and SNAP food assistance to school supplies and everyday basics that help set students up for success.

Want to make an impact close to home? Donate school supplies or everyday essentials for local student families. Every item helps lighten the load for parents and gives kids the tools they need to start the school year strong.

Collecting between June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
Drop off: MCHC office, 1475 Phoenixville Pike, Suite 12, West Chester, PA 19380
Drop off times: Monday - Friday, 9 am-12 pm

We truly enjoyed attending Executive Insights: A Panel of Visionary CEOs this week at West Chester University.
It was inspiring to hear from such dynamic leaders and to reflect on current topics impacting our county and region. It was also wonderful to connect with colleagues and community partners.
Thank you to the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, Chester County Economic Development Council, West Chester University of PA, and TMACC for hosting such a meaningful and engaging panel discussion. We left feeling encouraged and inspired by the leadership, vision, and collaboration happening across our region.
