COTA Camp Jazz embraces all instrumental and vocal learners age 12 and up. Applicants can apply at the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level. Every day, campers will receive focused instruction as they rehearse in

combos and study improvisation, theory, ear-training, history and more. Campers also have the option to participate in jam sessions, take private lessons, and choose from a variety of special electives such as composition, arranging, technology, and music business. Throughout the week, our world-class faculty and special guests will be presenting master classes and offering in-depth Q & A's on "all things jazz." Camp Jazz Culminates on Saturday with each combo recording at the renowned Red Rock Recording Studio, followed on Sunday by our "COTA Camp Jazz Presents" performance, featuring all camp combos and special guests. Thursday - Dr. Matt Vashlishan - Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection
Friday - Marko Marcinko - Latin Jazz

Tuition, Room & Board:

Camp Jazz tuition is $750, but students who register on or before April 30th, 2017 will receive a 10% discount. Housing is available at East Stroudsburg University for CampJazz students who live too far to commute daily. The cost for room and board (breakfast and dinner included) is $450.

Wow, the time has come. We put a lot of work into this album with seven guest artists contributing their invaluable playing. Please check us out on Bandcamp, Spotify and all sorts of streaming venues. The official release DATE is June 28. The Spencer Reed group plus special guest Nancy Reed will be at the Deer Head Inn the same day with CDs for sale. BUT... our official release PARTY will be August 2 also at the historic Deer Head Inn. We couldn't have done this without the production help of Richard Dunning. I have been on Facebook for many years under the name "Sam Burtis". I also belong to a group called "COTA Camp Jazz"i. Recently my ID on Facebook changed to "COTA Camp Jazz" instead of "Sam Burtis". Facebook has been of no help in changing it back to"Sam Burtis". If any of you good tech people have any info about rectifying this problem, please get in touch with me. Thanks.

I am not "COTA CAMP JAZZ." I am Sam Burtis. I don't know how this happened and I don't know what to do about it. Nothing against COTA CAMP JAZZ...I taught there several siummers. But I know no way to return to my list of many friends who get my posts. It's part of something called "Meta Business Suite." If anybody has a clue, please get in touch with me somehow. Thank you.
