NACIQI concluded its review of ABA accreditation without reaching a recommendation, leaving a decision on the Council's federal recognition to the Department of Education (ED). ED also proposed revisions to the PSLF application form and officially launched the 2027-28 FAFSA.

Meanwhile, new research examined college students' credit card use, SAVE borrowers face upcoming repayment plan deadlines, and institutions continue assessing the impact of new federal loan limits.
