203 Kombucha We would like to say thank you for your generosity, once again! APH appreciates the continued collaboration between ourselves and 203 Kombucha in the success of another small batch sold. This is to those wanting information on the Board of Game proposals in relation to trapping on recreational trails and public roads.

Members may be interested in proposals 81 and 82 which seek to establish trapping setbacks from recreational trails and public roads. Proposal 82 specifically mentions trails at Scout Ridge, Reflections Lake, Wasilla Creek, Rabbit Slough, and Nelson Road.

Hunting and trapping regulations are set by the Board of Game. Board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the legislature. This includes establishing open and closed seasons, areas for taking game, setting bag limits, and regulating methods and means. The Department of Fish and Game is responsible for management based on those decisions.

2024/2025 Meeting Cycle will deal with Central/Southwest Region & Statewide Regulations. This year the public meeting is January 10 - 17 at the Best Western Lake Lucille Inn in Wasilla.

Any member of the public can submit a proposal. Learn how to submit a proposal here:

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Dan Elliott's passing on December 21st. Dan was an extraordinary individual, embodying kindness, compassion, and generosity. Dan was a founding member of the Alaskans for Palmer Hay Flats and brought a uniquely balanced perspective to every discussion. He was funny, smart, kind and loved the beauty of the Hay Flats Refuge. Together with his wife, Marian, they helped shape the APH vision of active stewardship while supporting family enjoyment of the refuge.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Marian and family, and we at Alaskan for Palmer Hay Flats will deeply miss his remarkable spirit.
