Your perspectives made clear that meaningful progress depends on coordination across policy, finance, and technology, and on continued collaboration across borders.

Introducing Isabella Villanueva-García, a Hydraulic Civil Engineer from the University of Chile. She will be speaking at the Climate Institute’s Electrification Event during DC Climate Week! She currently serves as the head of the Planning and Climate Change Unit at the Ministry of Energy, overseeing Long-Term Energy Planning and the sectoral implementation of the Climate Change Framework Law. She has previous experience in civil society and international organizations in climate matters, energy transition, and carbon markets.

The Nagao Wetland Fund (NWF) is now open for 2026 project applications, an opportunity to drive meaningful, on the ground impact for wetlands and communities across the region.

We will be hosting a webinar on the 16th of April to answer your questions on the application process.

Funding available: Up to USD 30,000 for mid scale projects that advance the Ramsar Strategic Plan 2025–2034.

Eligible applicants are from countries in Asia and Oceania listed on the OECD DAC ODA Recipients list.
