We are a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that uses civic technology, open data, policy analysis and journalism to make government more accountable to all. Our goal is to dramatically improve public access to vital government information to create accountability of our public officials. Our vision is to enable more complete, equitable and effective democratic participation. Our overar

ching goal is to achieve changes in laws and policies that require real-time, online transparency for government information that does not require privacy or security protections. And, while our scope began in 2006 with only a focus on the U.S. Congress, we now are defining open government on the local, state, federal and international level.

The Sunlight Foundation’s Web Integrity Project is excited to begin its search for two full-time hires to help lead its work:

1) Director - Responsible for stewarding WIP’s mission, managing the work of WIP’s 3-5 full-time staff, and leading WIP’s public communication with journalists, partners, members of Congress, federal agencies, and funders: https://sunlightfoundation.com/web-integrity-project/get-involved/wip-director-aug-2018/.

2) Director of Research - Responsible for overseeing WIP’s website monitoring operations, including work of WIP’s analyst team, and helping coordinate WIP’s investigative work: https://sunlightfoundation.com/web-integrity-project/get-involved/wip-director-of-research-aug-2018/.

WIP monitors changes to government websites, holding our government accountable by revealing shifts in public information and access to Web resources, as well as changes in stated policies and priorities. We work with journalists to make our findings public, and we produce policy analyses to evaluate and recommend changes to Web governance practices and help ensure access to valuable Web resources.
