What a wonderful evening to kick off our rooftop season! 🌟

We were so grateful to welcome internationally certified etiquette expert and author Alison M. Cheperdak, who led a wonderful conversation about her new book, "Was It Something I Said?: Everyday Etiquette to Avoid Awkward Moments in Relationships, Work, and Life." Thank you to everyone who came out — what a great turnout for our first rooftop event of the season!

What kind of people are we becoming in the age of AI?

As technology reshapes the way we work, communicate, and live, the Church continues to ask an essential question: How do we ensure human dignity remains at the center?

Join us this Monday for "Making Sense of Magnifica Humanitas", as we explore Pope Leo XIV’s vision for humanity in an age of algorithms, innovation, and rapid technological change. Drawing from theology, ethics, technology, business, and Catholic social thought, Fr. Baggot and Mark Ryland will discuss how the encyclical speaks to pressing contemporary questions.

Searching for peace is human. But what is it about yoga that leads us away from Christ?

We were grateful to host Linda Carl last week, as she invited us to look beyond trends and ask deeper questions about the human person, spirituality, and what we are truly made for.

Earlier this week, the CIC welcomed Linda Carl for an honest, courageous conversation about her 20 years in yoga and the terrifying moment that changed everything.

Over coffee and community, Linda shared her journey from practicing and teaching yoga to discovering what lies behind the practice, and ultimately finding her way back to God through the mercy of Christ. Her new book, "Yoga Unveiled: My Spiritual Journey from Darkness to Light", is now available.

You can watch the entire talk on the CIC YouTube today: https://loom.ly/sRkEZpw

🧘‍♀️ Is yoga just stretching… or something more?

Join us at the CIC for a discussion with former yoga instructor Linda Carl on her new book, "Yoga Unveiled", an eye-opening exploration of the spiritual roots and philosophy behind yoga and how we should beware that “yoga as exercise” can open spiritual doors Christians are never meant to open.

We hope to see you this Monday, May 11th, for our morning session at 10 AM or our evening session at 6 PM! Come ready for thoughtful discussion, deeper understanding, and faithful discernment.

How much do we really know about Bethsaida—the home of St. Peter? Recent discoveries at the excavation site of El Araj in northern Israel may have uncovered the very town where Christ called His first apostles and performed some of His most well-known miracles. Join us as we explore the evidence!

Join us TOMORROW, May 5th, as the Catholic Information Center welcomes Dr. R. Steven Notley, Academic Director of the El Araj Excavation Project, for a fascinating presentation on the discoveries that may confirm the location of biblical Bethsaida. He will be joined by Melissa Overmyer, a Catholic evangelizer who personally worked on the excavation and will share her experience encountering these discoveries firsthand.
