This week, several members of the Canteen Unit had the privilege of attending a five-day Chaplain Training retreat in Blacksburg, Virginia as part of the Virginia Association of First Responders Symposium.

We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen our ability to serve others with compassion, presence, and care. The training provided valuable tools and meaningful insight that will help us better support first responders, families, and our community during times of crisis.

A special thank you to our amazing instuctors for their wonderful training, encouragement, and the wisdom they shared with us throughout the week. We are truly grateful for your investment in this ministry and in each of us.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support of the Canteen Unit as we continue serving those who serve others. ❤️

Thank You for Your Support!

In the aftermath of the storms that blew through Fauquier County last night and the resulting power outages, the Sheriff’s Office called in additional staff.

The Bridge Community Church Canteen Unit kept our personnel supported until power was restored. Thank you for serving along beside us!

The Canteen is busy doing big things!

Yesterday, we responded to our 150th emergency call as we approach our 7th year of service this July. During this incident, we were able to put our new serving trays into action, making it easier to serve first responders while they were actively fighting fires. These trays allow us to bring cold drinks and snacks directly to them when they need them most.

We were also able to take care of our furry friends! We always carry water bowls and treats for any K-9 units on scene, and we're grateful for the opportunity to support them as well.

Meanwhile, a team from The Canteen is currently in West Virginia serving alongside the Royal Rangers as they support a camp that is doing amazing work for youth in the area.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. Because of your generosity, we are able to go out and serve others when they need it most.

It is always a blessing to be a blessing!

Today, the Canteen Unit is back in Culpeper, honored to serve the law enforcement and first responders who answer the call whenever their community needs them most.

These men and women face long hours, difficult situations, and countless sacrifices that often go unseen. Whether they're responding to emergencies, protecting our neighborhoods, or providing critical care, their dedication never wavers.

It is our privilege to offer a warm meal, a cold drink, and a moment of encouragement to those who spend their days serving others. Small acts of support can make a big difference, and we're grateful for the opportunity to stand beside these everyday heroes.

Please join us in thanking all of the first responders serving Culpeper today. Your commitment, courage, and selfless service do not go unnoticed. We are proud to support you and honored to serve.

We were on scene today in Culpeper serving our heroes! It is an honor to work alongside the first responders, providing them with comfort as they protect our community. We are so proud of all the fire and rescue teams that showed up with amazing heart today.

It was a lovely week of serving our first responders for the Canteen!

This past Wednesday, the Canteen supported the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office for their Memorial Service. Thank you to Duck Donuts in Haymarket for the amazing breakfast and Southern Flare for the incredible lunch service. Mental Health Association of Fauquier County was on site making everyone smile with their treats and butterflies 🦋

Today was a beautiful event at The Bridge Community Church. Blessing of the Badges was a great way to end this week and honor our first responders. Thank you to all of our volunteers and those that contributed food for after the service.
