The American Legion Riders of Post 72 are all members of the American Legion who help and support the communities in which they live, work, and play, as well as participate in parades and partake in motorcycle events. American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded service members and scholarships.

In Garden City, Mich., in 1993, Chuck "Tramp" Dare and Bill "Polka" Kaledas, commander of American Legion Post 396, shared an idea to start a motorcycle enthusiasts association within the organization. The two longtime riders wanted an environment where Legion family members could come together to share a common love for motorcycles.

Congratulations ALR Post 72 for receiving the 2026 Department of Virginia American Legion Riders High Mileage and Safety Awards for both the Chapters with Most Mileage having a total of 94,739 miles ridden and the Most Riders Participating with having 23!!

Get ready to rock! Double Down RVA is bringing its high-energy blend of Southern Rock and Classic Rock to the 12th Annual Colonial Beach Bike Fest on Friday night, October 9, 2026.

The motorcycles may be rolling into Colonial Beach, but when Double Down RVA takes the stage Friday night, the volume is going up!

As part of the 12th Annual Colonial Beach Bike Fest, Double Down RVA will bring their unique brand of “Rock and Roll with a Southern Soul” to the waterfront for an evening of great music, good times and plenty of biker energy.
