What started with clouds and some rain turned into an absolutely perfect day for 45 SourcePoint trip participants.

Led by SourcePoint Trip Coordinator Mary Ann Evans, they visited Ohio's North Shore and enjoyed a private train tour of Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island. One of the trip's highlights was touring the new Put-in-Bay Aquatic Visitor Center. Steve Norton, the Manager, welcomed the group and gave a presentation about the center's history and its current features related to Ohio's fish.🐟

Later, visitors spread across the island, relaxing and enjoying various activities such as having lunch with new friends—featuring perch and walleye—shopping, exploring the island museum, enjoying the stunning lake views, admiring Perry's Monument, and soaking up the sun and gentle breeze on this ideal day.

The day was topped off with a bonus stop in Bucyrus at Mark's Homemade Ice Cream.

SourcePoint trip-goers enjoyed a scenic drive through the rolling hills of rural Ohio as they headed to Sugarcreek for “A Neil Diamond Tribute.' Once there, they had the opportunity to stretch their legs, indulge in a hearty buffet lunch with homemade pie, and explore charming shops and vibrant flowers on the property before making their way to the Ohio Star Theater for the show.

Branson performer Keith Allynn gave a spectacular Neil Diamond tribute, performing cherished hits from Diamond’s catalog and sharing interesting stories behind the music. Trip organizer Mary Ann Evans happily shared that many group members sang along for much of the show! During the performance, Allynn kindly visited the balcony to shake hands with many attendees, all seated in great first- and second-row seats. Even after the show, Allynn made a spontaneous stop at the boarding area of the departing motorcoach to chat with everyone.
