THANK YOU to VBS campers at First Baptist for this amazing donation!

During the first week of June, Hands & Hearts was honored to be the Mission Partner for Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church in Thomasville!

During VBS, campers competed in a collection competition (Boys vs. Girls) to see which group could collect the most donations to benefit HHH! As with any good competition, the team that collected the most donations got to pick which of the VBS staff had to kiss a goat!! 🐐

We are so thankful and blessed to receive this donation which will be used to add much needed gym mats to our therapy room.❤️

PS….Our goats are wondering when they get a kiss !💋😚🐐

It takes a village to make Hands & Hearts for Horses possible.

Behind every lesson are countless people working together to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for our riders. From our incredible horses and dedicated volunteers to our instructors, donors, families, and community supporters, every person plays an important role.

No one does this alone—and we're grateful for every individual who helps make our mission possible.

Thank you for being part of our village. 🤍🐴

We are so sad to announce that Lily, our steady eddy barn favorite, has crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Lily joined our herd in 2014 after a successful career as a hunter jumper pony. Her steadfast nature and exceptional gaits made her the first independent walk/trot/canter horse for so many of our clients over the years. She loved sunbathing, trail ride adventures, snacks of any kind and massages from Caryn, our equine body worker.

Lily never placed a foot wrong and gave independence and confidence to even the most profound of our clients. She was a champion at the Georgia Special Olympics Horse Show and held the hand of many an HHH rider for their first horse show.

To say she will be missed is an understatement. Her impact on our program and clients was profound and she changed the lives of so many.

Thank you to the Kirbo Family for generously donating her to our program.

Please share any memories you have with Lily below.❤️

Volunteer Spotlight 💕
This year's "What Would We Do Without You?" Award goes to Ashley White!

Ashley has been part of the Hands and Hearts for Horses family for 4.5 years after first volunteering alongside her daughter through one of her classes. What started as a volunteer opportunity quickly became a meaningful mother-daughter tradition rooted in community service and shared love for our horses.

Ashley especially enjoys helping with horse wellness tasks and, of course, loving on the herd. Some of her favorite moments are the little things... like a student trotting for the first time, singing while they ride, and each of the horse's unique personality traits.

When asked which horse she relates to most, Ashley chose Neve because she's dependable, reliable, and trusted in more complicated situations. Ashley says she hopes she can be counted on in the same way (don't worry, Ashley, we DO count on you!). Plus, Neve loves treats... and Ashley says, "I can't blame her one bit for that!".

Thank you, Ashley, for the care, kindness, and heart you bring to our program every single week. We truly don't know what we'd do without you!

It’s only the first week of summer ☀️ but camp is Heating Up Fast!

During the first week of summer, we partner with two other local camps to provide therapeutic riding services to their campers - McKinney-Vinto and our long time partner, Camp ARROW!

An added bonus has been our amazing community partners : The Ice Cream Girl - who donated ice cream to the McKinney-Vinto Camp and Maclay School’s All Hands in Service and Thomasville YMCA Service Camp - whose campers volunteered their time to make lessons safe and support these campers!

Thank you to all our amazing community partners for making these special camps a huge success !
