🌟 Last week, Community Foundation of South Georgia announced eight grants totaling $10,700 through the Hosea Hall and Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County!

These grants will support local charitable organizations working to meet the needs of Thomas County residents and make a meaningful difference in our community.

This grant program was made possible through the generosity of the Vann Family, who entrusted the Community Foundation with an unrestricted gift to help address Thomas County’s most pressing needs and support new opportunities as they arise.

We’re grateful to the Vann Family for their vision and generosity, and we’re excited to see the impact these grants will have throughout Thomas County! 💙

📢 Mini-Grants for Teachers – Applications Are Open!

Calling all educators in Brooks County, Grady County, Thomas County & Thomasville City Schools! The Community Foundation of South Georgia is now accepting applications for our annual teacher mini-grants.

💡 Brooks, Thomas & Thomasville City teachers: Mini-grants of up to $500

💡 Grady County teachers: Mini-grants of up to $1,000 and maxi-grants of up to $5,000

These grants are designed to help bring creative classroom projects and learning opportunities to life—especially those that aren’t covered by regular school budgets.

The Community Foundation of South Georgia is excited to announce the 2026 grant cycle for the Hosea Hall and Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County. Eligible nonprofit organizations with their primary office and/or services located in Thomas County are encouraged to apply for funding opportunities that strengthen our community and improve quality of life.

Grant applications are due Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

This fall, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is kicking off the 8th annual South Georgia Legacy Fund grant cycle.

🎓 We’re excited to announce that the Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded over $402,000 in scholarships in 2025!

Thanks to the generosity of local individuals, families, and community organizations, 112 scholarships were awarded this year to students from 27 high schools across South Georgia, as well as to students attending colleges throughout Georgia. These awards were made possible through 41 scholarship funds held at the Foundation.

We’re proud to help so many deserving students take the next step toward achieving their higher education goals at colleges and universities across the country.

Congratulations to all of our 2025 scholarship recipients—your hard work, dedication, and dreams are inspiring!
