Today marks a historic milestone for our community. TCDC, the Douglass High School Alumni Association, Tapestry Development Corporation, and our many community partners have officially broken ground on the Douglass School Senior Apartments.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this moment possible, from residents, alumni, and community advocates to elected officials, funders, and project partners. Your vision and belief in this project helped transform a dream into reality.

This is more than the start of construction; it is the beginning of a new chapter for the historic Douglass campus, one that honors its legacy while creating quality housing opportunities for our seniors.

FLETCHERVILLE DESIGN FEST

“Where we live shapes how we thrive.”
That message came to life at last Saturday’s Fletcherville Design
Fest, hosted by TCDC and Thomasville Landmarks. Neighbors,
community leaders, and partners gathered to share ideas, celebrate Fletcherville’s
rich history, and help shape its future.

A special thank you to Thomasville Landmarks, Harper Elementary School,
Janet Cable, Jamie Lawrence and Renasant Bank, Rena Montgomery of
Destiny Memory Photography, TCDC Board Members Stephanie Hiers and
Lauretta Hadley, Mayor Scott Chastain, Roderick Banks of Banks Italian Ice,
Alvin Davis of Real Mealz, Thomasville Police Department, and Thomasville
Fire Rescue for helping make the event a success.

Most importantly, thank you to the residents who shared their voices and
vision. Together, we are building a stronger Fletcherville, because where we

Something amazing is growing in Dewey City!

Thanks to the heart of community champion Johnny Crawford, Jr. (“La La”), the Dewey City Community Garden is coming to life with fresh vegetables and the spirit of togetherness.

By mid-July, we’re looking forward to a joyful harvest of fresh produce and a celebration of what happens when community comes together to grow something meaningful.
