At Operation Prom, we value our community partners who make our mission possible. We simply couldn’t provide Westchester County students with the beautiful, professionally cleaned and preserved formalwear they deserve without the incredible support of Nu-Way Dry Cleaners & Tailors and the Bayliss family!

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Brasch for helping us honor the Bayliss family and recognize their outstanding contributions to our community. In recognition of their impact, October 16, 2026, has officially been proclaimed Nu-Way Day in the City of White Plains! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful to the entire Nu-Way team for the time, care, and dedication they give us every prom season. Your hard work helps ensure that students can walk into their proms feeling confident and looking their best.

Meet Joseph Ammirati, one of the newest members of our Advisory Council. 👏

Joseph brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality, foodservice, and business industries to Operation Prom. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and developing opportunities for others.

As an advisor to Prominent Pathways, Joseph contributes his industry knowledge and professional experience to help shape workforce development initiatives for young adults. He is passionate about helping young people build practical skills, gain real-world professional experience, explore diverse career opportunities, and develop the confidence and connections needed to pursue meaningful careers.

Did you know the tuxedo got its name from a small town in New York? 🤵

Back in 1886, at a ball in Tuxedo Park, a young man swapped his long tailcoat for a short, tailless jacket. It turned heads, it caught on, and the "tuxedo" was born, named after the town itself.

Funny enough, it was originally considered too casual for formal events. Today it's the most formal thing a guy can wear. 🖤

So the next time you help a student into their tux for prom, know they're stepping into more than 130 years of history.
