Last month we were honored to welcome SBS Commissioner Kenny Minaya, who joined Council Member Amanda Farías for a walkthrough of the Castle Hill District. Together, they visited several of our local small businesses the businesses that keep our community thriving and had the opportunity to hear directly from business owners about their experiences, challenges, and how the City can better support them.

Our local businesses were also connected with valuable small business resources to help them grow and succeed.

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring our businesses and City leaders together and look forward to continuing these important conversations.

When our small businesses thrive, our entire community thrives.

Shout out to these Bronx Gems💜

Bronx BIDs recently met with Small Business Services Commissioner Kenny Minaya and his team, “Mom and Pop” Czar Delia Awusi, Economic Justice Advisor Kelly Gu, and our local agency partners — Frank Lettera from DSNY, Holly Malone from DOT, DSS Assistant Commissioner Yuri Sanchez, and Arianna Cabrera from DOB — to discuss the challenges facing our commercial corridors and explore meaningful solutions together.

Our Business Improvement District executive directors remain deeply committed to creating thriving, safer, and cleaner districts, and we know that strong collaboration with our city partners is essential to making that vision a reality. Together, we can drive real change.

We look forward to continuing these collaborations, having candid conversations, brainstorming solutions, and creating tangible, lasting impact for the communities we serve.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet, share concerns, contribute ideas, and commit to being a voice for positive change
