The Holiday season is approaching us Haven of Hope Foundation Inc. would like to request your support during this holiday season. Haven of Hope Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides services to women survivors of domestic violence abuse. Statistics has identified that one in every four women have experienced severe physical violence from an intimate partner at some point in their lives. Domestic violence does not discriminate against race, the success of one or both individuals, nor does it care how loving the relationship us to be, domestic violence can happen to anyone. The affects on family members are substantial especially among children. For the children there can be short term effects which can be behavioral or academic problems. Long term effects lack of trusting. For the women the effects can result in PTSD, depression, low self esteem or confidence, Trumatic flashbacks, high levels of stress, spiritual, mental or physically shifts. Some survivors may even experience being r***d. Haven of Hope Foundation Inc. provides supportive services that help our survivors return to the community.
