Arrows Christian Academy - AZ

Arrows Christian Academy - AZ ARROWS is a private K-8 classical Christian school for Phoenix's East Valley families. Our unique approach gives students an opportunity to do just that.

ARROWS Christian Academy is a classical Christian primary school (K-5) opening for enrollment in August 2023. The foundation of ARROWS Christian Academy provides accessible Christian education to families looking for alternatives to their children's education, including families who have students with special needs, who may struggle in the traditional classroom setting, or who have experienced trauma of any form. Intentional integration of neurodiverse and typical students offers a unique learning environment that we feel truly reflects Biblical principles. Without diversity and differences and learning how to interact with those differences, toning our attributes of Christ-likeness can be difficult and become a forgotten pursuit. At ARROWS we aim to cultivate a child’s heart to first and foremost love the Lord, love others, and love learning.

We were honored to welcome former Diamondbacks organization player Francis Martinez to Chapel today. He shared what it was like to move to a new country alone as a teenager and chasing the dream of pro baseball through language barriers.

What stood out most was how he talked about the positive side of struggle. Life is often more struggle than success, and Francis reminded our students that how we respond to setbacks shapes who we become. He didn’t just push through the hard moments—he learned to see them as part of the process, trusting that God was with him no matter what and after following God no matter what the result was far better than anything he could have imagined.

His testimony showed our students: the road ahead may feel hard and uncertain, but we can be sure of this—God is with us all the way. ❤️⚾️

Thank you, Francis!

Dot Day at Arrows! 🔵🔴⚪️

Ms. Jen and Ms. Heather spent a break “dotting” every classroom, and our kids came back to find their class covered in color.

Teachers built lessons around courage and creativity — because every mark matters, just like every child who makes one. Arrows is one of the marks God is making for His Kingdom, and today was a beautiful reminder of that.

Goodness. The word encompasses so much, yet seems so simple.

Contrary to what most of us think, great is not better than good. It’s just different.

So what makes goodness so, well, good? Goodness is tranquil. Goodness is righteous. Goodness is confident. Goodness is peaceful. When something or someone is good, it’s enough, and then some.

Yes, God is great. This is the essence of why we worship Him. But he is also good. He satisfies our souls even in the quiet moments. He provides peace in the worst of turmoil. He loves us even at our worst.

When God created the light, He saw that it was good. When He looked out over His Creation, He saw that it was very good.

Where does goodness fit in your life? Where do you see God’s goodness appear? Try paying attention to what is good in your life. You’re likely to find peace, tranquility and more.

And that’s more than enough. It’s the goodness that comes from God alone!

Peace is not simply the absence of war or conflict. It’s not being in a place without noise, problems or hard work. It’s more than that, and simpler at the same time.

Peace is being in the middle of all of life’s challenges and tribulations and still remaining calm at heart. Knowing that all is well and all will be well.

For Christians, this kind of peace is within reach when we remember that Jesus has overcome the world. We are saved by Him and by His sacrifice for us.

By accepting Him as Lord and Savior, we have given ourselves the peace of knowing that no matter how noisy or hard life gets here on earth, the ultimate and eternal peace awaits us with God in Heaven.

That, my friends, is the ultimate “zen state!”

What does it mean to submit yourself to God?

Submission to God means coming to Him knowing He sees all of your sins, all your guilt, all your shame, all your failures and all of your insufficiencies.

It also means accepting that you have talents, gifts and positive traits that may have been hiding behind your own perception of the “other” stuff you brought to Him.

The submission comes in giving in to the idea that you may have gifts He intends for you to use that you’re not even aware of. It’s realizing that a negative character trait can be turned into a blessing because God decided so.

It means giving your body, mind, heart and soul to Him for His use. And it might be the hardest thing you’ll ever do. Every fiber of your ego will scream “no!”

But if you do it, and really allow Him to work in you, God will exalt you! He will lift you out of all the wreckage that you were dragging around all this time.

And THAT is worth the effort - to both you AND God!

If your school is closing, your position is being eliminated, or you're simply ready for something different — there may be a place for you at Arrows.

➡️ We're hiring — and there's a good chance you've never seen a school quite like this.

👉 Apply here: www.arrowschristian.org

Arrows Christian Academy is a classical, Christ-centered K–8 school in Chandler, AZ (Ray Rd/Alma School) and we're looking for a K/1 and 4/5 teacher for 2026–27.

Here's what makes Arrows different:
📚 Small learning groups — 12 students, not 30
🤝 A classroom aide in every room — you are never alone
📅 3 days on campus (Tuesday–Thursday) — with the option to add Monday and/or Friday for additional pay
✝️ Work that is also ministry — not just a job

We're looking for Christian educators who believe every child can learn — and who want to actually know their students, not just manage them.

📜 No teaching certificate? If you have experience, passion, and a calling — we still want to hear from you.

Our students are Known. Capable. Called. So are our teachers.

If that resonates, we'd love to meet you.

Solitude. Even the word itself sounds peaceful and quiet. Solitude is possibly the most underused tool in the Christian’s prayer arsenal.

Solitude relieves your mind and soul from the distractions of a very busy, very noisy world. Going to a “desolate” place (a place without people, according to Webster’s) can be a force multiplier for prayer.

You can better hear your own thoughts and the vibration of your own soul. You may also hear God better without the chatter of your normal environment. As an added bonus, your physical, mental and spiritual health will all get a boost from regular bouts of solitude!

You may prefer the solitude of a quiet forest or woods. Maybe an empty beach or quiet lake is your preference. Or maybe you have a quiet prayer room right at home.

Whatever you prefer, use it and amplify your prayer power!
