You know your child better than anyone else!

When it’s your first child, it’s easy to doubt yourself or worry that you’re overreacting. But your instincts are powerful, and the earlier you intervene, the more support you can provide for their unique journey.

In this episode of Autism Explained: The Way We See It, Dr. Matthew Zaideman discusses the importance of listening to your gut, even when others suggest waiting. He emphasizes that early action is key to navigating an autism diagnosis and finding the right path for your family.

Don’t ignore that inner voice, it’s your greatest strength as an advocate.

What if the way a child struggles in school isn’t a limitation but just a different way of learning that hasn’t been understood yet?

In this episode of the Autism Explained podcast, we sat down with Kea Heron and her therapy dog, Charlie Chaplin, to unpack that question through real stories about dyslexia, autism, and the children caught in between labels and understanding.

Kea shared how dyslexia shows up in reading, writing, and spelling, not as a sign of low intelligence, but as a different way the brain processes language. From there, the conversation opened into the overlap many families don’t expect: dyslexia alongside autism, and other learning differences like dyscalculia and dysgraphia.

By the end, it wasn’t just about dyslexia. It was about what changes when families stop asking “What’s wrong?” and start asking “What works?”

Some days we don’t even have the energy to explain it anymore.

We’ve tried the therapy.
We’ve tried the diet.
We’ve tried the charts.
We’ve tried the systems.
We’ve tried the advice.

Not once. Not casually. Not halfway.

What we need isn’t more suggestions.
It’s understanding.

We closed out Autism Acceptance Month behind the bar, but the real story was in the conversations.

Infinite Spectrum Foundation spent the evening guest bartending at Ology Brewing, raising a glass to community, connection, and acceptance. What started as drinks and laughter turned into something deeper. Shared stories, new understanding, and a reminder that acceptance doesn’t end when the month does.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and helped us turn a night out into a moment of impact. 💙

Autism acceptance is every day. And so are we.

Trusting your intuition is the first step in your child's journey!✨

Navigating a sudden change in your child’s development can be overwhelming, but recognizing those early "red flags" is where your advocacy begins.

In this episode of Autism Explained: The Way We See It, Dr. Matthew Zaideman from NEURO-Trition shares his personal experience of noticing the signs early on, the frustration of being told to "just wait," and how he took proactive steps through alternative health and natural living to support his son’s development.

If you’ve ever felt like something wasn't quite right and didn't know where to turn, this episode is for you.

The world can feel louder, brighter, stronger. For many individuals on the spectrum, everyday sights, sounds, and textures can feel overwhelming. It’s not just a challenge. It’s a different way of experiencing the world, full of detail, intensity, and perspective that others may miss.

We’re highlighting sensory sensitivity as a strength. By understanding and supporting these experiences, we can help individuals on the spectrum navigate the world with confidence, independence, and self-awareness.
