Attention community scientists!

Journey North and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Georgia DNR are encouraging communities to report monarch butterfly sightings from December through March in Georgia to help scientists determine where monarchs can overwinter in the southern U.S., and how this might affect future monarch population numbers. 🦋

Observations are entered in Journey North’s online data portal, where they are transformed into real-time mapping visualizations of monarch migration and breeding.
