🤠🐎 Saddle Up for a Night in the Wild West! 🌵🎶

The Stonewall Brigade Band had a fantastic turnout for our Traditional Concert Band Night on June 8! One of the highlights of the evening was having composer Gary Fagan in the audience to hear four of his works performed. What a special treat for both the band and our audience!

Join us this coming Monday, June 15, at 7:30 PM in Gypsy Hill Park for our Cowboys, Pioneers, and the Wild West themed concert. 🤠

🎶 Congratulations to Our 2026 Bob Moody Scholarship Recipients! 🎶
This week, the Stonewall Brigade Band proudly awarded a $1,000 Bob Moody Music Scholarship to Leslie Yang, a graduating senior from Rocktown High School.
In addition, two $500 scholarships were awarded to Nathan Fiechtl of Staunton High School and Ethan Abbott of Waynesboro High School.

What is a band concert without a big, bright brass sound? This week the Stonewall Brigade Band opens the second concert of the 2026 Summer Concert Series with a flourish, giving the brass musicians a chance to display their talents. We will start with Light Cavalry Overture, then move into other wonderful concert pieces honoring our amazing mountain ranges such as Augusta Variations, Shenandoah Mountain Overture, and Afton Mountain Overture. A Hymn Festival, Lincolnshire Posey, Amparito Roca, For Those Who Have Gone Before, and A Small Suite for Band round out the program. Be sure to bring the chairs and blankets, the family, the dog, your neighbors, the work staff, the septic tank pump team, the church sewing circle, and the Amazon delivery guy! Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and ice cream are available at the concession stand. It's a free concert on a lovely June evening: June 8 at 7:30 pm in Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park bandshell.....see you there!

The Stonewall Brigade Band 2026 Summer Concert Series includes 14 concerts - one each Monday evening from June 1 through August 31. Each week's concert is based on a different theme.

On Monday, June 1 at 7:30 pm in Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, the Stonewall Brigade Band eagerly anticipates a fun-filled free concert full of music from your favorite movie films. Fly with us through the music from Superman and Batman, dance with us with the music from Jersey Boys, sing along with Moon River and West Side Story, and defy gravity with music from Wicked. You'll also enjoy the music from Beetlejuice, Gettysburg, and others. Be sure to grab your entire family, including the family dog, your neighbors, the work staff, the church commission group, and grumpy Uncle Humbug. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy the amazing summer evening weather. Concessions are available.
