Three signals that are easy to miss — but hard to ignore:
1. The biggest global risks depend on your time horizon
2. Clean energy is beginning to meet new demand at scale
3. Water is becoming less predictable in many parts of the world

Individually, these are important. Together, they suggest something bigger:
We’re not looking at isolated challenges — but at multiple systems shifting at once.

We’ve unpacked the three trends in a short read here:

🌍 This landscape still shapes our world.

On the remote shores of Lake Tanganyika — where David Livingstone once searched for the Nile & Henry Morton Stanley made history — lies Mahale Mountains National Park, one of Africa’s last great intact forest–lake ecosystems.

It was here that research inspired by Jane Goodall transformed how we understand chimpanzees & ourselves.

Today, this extraordinary place is home to 93% of Tanzania’s endangered chimpanzees, as well as communities who depend on its forests & waters to survive. But it’s under growing pressure from deforestation, climate change, & resource demands.

However, there is hope.

Through forest restoration, sustainable livelihoods, & local leadership, we’re protecting critical chimpanzee habitat while also safeguarding one of the world’s most unique freshwater systems beneath the surface of the lake.

🌱 Forests above. 💧Life below. Everything connected.
