Shenandoah Community Capital Fund - SCCF Helping people create options for themselves through access to capital and support.

We believe that the most vibrant communities grow from within — we support local residents as they work to revitalize their neighborhoods, assist start-up nonprofits with grassroots organizing and fundraising, finance creative entrepreneurs who create jobs and fill storefronts, and provide access to economic opportunities for traditionally underserved populations.

We are so happy that our friends from Rural LISC could join us for a tour of the City of Staunton, VA – Government, exploring development and revitalization projects, and visit local businesses. Getting to meet Ephraim Palmero in person was a pleasure. Special thanks to the Staunton Innovation Hub for hosting and Staunton Downtown Development Association SDDA for chatting with us!

In the Shenandoah Valley, collaboration is as familiar as Route 11.

Last week, SCCF hosted our first Small Business Intensive session in Wi******er, and it was a strong reminder of what happens when people show up ready to connect, share, and build together. Justin Kerns from Wi******er-Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Andy Gyursin from the Laurel Ridge Small Business Development Center brought a powerful perspective on leveraging tourism, building partnerships, and taking actionable steps to move your business forward. This first session really couldn't have happened without the collaboration of these two great community resources.

Some of our favorite quotes:
“Tourism isn’t a separate industry, just a different target.”
“Just make the call!”

We're excited to see what these businesses build together over the next three months!

Special thanks to the Shenandoah University HIVE for hosting and Friends of Old Town and Rural LISC for helping to make this program possible!
