🎉🎉 We’re celebrating an incredible milestone — 10,000 sterilizations!! For 12 years, Dr. Kris has been at the helm of the Waggin' and has shown unwavering dedication through thunderstorms, complicated surgeries, supply shortages, electrical outages, spicy cats, dicey A/C during unbearable summer heat and an "unruly" client or two. Her commitment to animal welfare and community service is truly immeasurable.
🐶😺 Thank you, Dr. Kris, and to the dedicated technicians who have stood by her side (literally and figuratively) and helped her reach this milestone. You've changed countless lives — both furry and human — and we couldn’t be more grateful.

💜 Did you know that only 20% of domestic violence shelters in the U.S. currently allow pets, and nearly 48% of survivors delay leaving an abuser because they cannot bring their animals with them? Pets are often a survivor’s main source of emotional support—and tragically, abusers frequently harm or threaten pets as a means of control.
💜 The Purple Leash Project is Purina’s national initiative—created in partnership with the nonprofit RedRover—to ensure domestic violence survivors never have to choose between their own safety and the safety of their pets. It focuses on expanding pet‑friendly domestic violence shelters, raising awareness, and funding critical resources so survivors and their animals can escape and heal together.

OpSPOT held a spay/neuter clinic completely sponsored by one incredible donor and supporter! All costs were covered for both the community partner and ours. Because of their kindness, 43 cats were sterilized never again adding to the overpopulation crisis.

According to the , fewer than 10 people die each year in the US thanks to strong prevention programs, yet over 4,000 animals still test positive annually, mostly wildlife like bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes.
🌍 Globally, rabies remains a crisis, killing an estimated 60,000 people every year, with 99% of human cases caused by dog bites.
💉 Let's not ever stop vaccinating our pets for rabies as it saves lives, protects families, and keeps communities safe.

💙 We were honored by the invitation to participate in the Manchester Walmart re‑grand opening celebration and to have been the recipient of a $1,000 community grant.

🧡You may see nothing more than a room full of people, but the truth is these people are animal welfare warriors that dedicate every minute of every day to caring for, protecting, and advocating for the lives of homeless, abandoned, injured, diseased and displaced dogs and cats.
💛They are boots on the ground, showing up every day for animals in need and serving our communities in more ways than most people could ever imagine.
