REACT Alliance is committed to ending offshore wind in California and elsewhere in the US. because of this commitment we are offering our creative (the four ads and the billboard design) to any established group fighting offshore wind for free. advertising services can be expensive and we want to help get the word out so we can enjoy our coastal communities, our harbors and our beloved oceans without the blight of offshore wind staring us in the face. it takes a community at large to get the word out and we are offering help as we can. WE WILL END OFFSHORE WIND!

One of the most important reasons not to support offshore wind or any other form of ocean industrialization. The negative impacts to whales and the entire water column and food chain is devastating to the health of the oceans and it’s important role in carbon sequestration. If you here someone say harming a “few” whales is a necessary result of saving the earth with “ green and sustainable” energy technologies, you might want to point out the sheer stupidity and hypocrisy of their statement!

When I hear the Wampanoag, the Shinnecock, the Narragansett, and the Unkechaug speak, I hear the old teaching: the ocean is alive. It remembers us. It carries our prayers across the waters, the same waters that once carried our canoes and our songs.

These wind projects, planted without proper respect or consultation, are being challenged now. And that is a good thing. It means the voices of the people are still strong, that sovereignty is not silent, and that the sacred trust between the government and our Nations can still be called to account.

This moment is not only about stopping something — it is about opening the door to do it right. To sit in circle, to listen to the ancestors of the water, to honor the responsibilities that come with caring for creation. The petitions remind us that the future can still be shaped by respect, by consultation, by partnership rooted in truth.

I take hope in this: when the Nations stand together — Wampanoag, Shinnecock, Narragansett, Unkechaug, and beyond — the world is reminded that we are still here. Our voices still rise. Our sacred places are still defended. Our grandchildren’s future is still worth protecting.

Let the wind turn the turbines only when the people have spoken, when the waters are honored, and when the sacred trust is upheld. Until then, we walk with hope, knowing that every petition, every prayer, every stand brings us closer to a world where the earth and the people are respected together.

Nokôm yôtin, kiwêtinohk pimipahtâkan.
Grandmother Wind, carry our voices.

The ocean is alive. The wind is alive. And so are we.

For 50 years, anti-nuclear groups have used renewables to greenwash the killing of nuclear plants and the inevitable rise in air pollution that results.
