This may be a record! 2 posts in 2 days. Here are a few things that will be happening.

#1. I will be taking boats and gear to Simpson Lake near Vally Park. If you’d like to kayak fish or just paddle around the lake on the 2nd Sunday of each of the warmer months, up till October. If interested, then come on out, noon till 4pm.

#2. As soon as I get VA approval for a dietary plan, HOW will be working with Wounded Warriors and we will begin a once a month, on a Sunday, taking the trailer to JB building 51 parking lot. These BBQ and Co****le events will be to help veterans who are recovering there. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Also we are in the beginning stages of planning a trip with the Wake Foundation to do an October trout fishing event to Arkansas. More to come as plans develop.

Ok I was taking a little break from life, sorry. Mom’s been in and out of the hospital. She is now home but elected to go on hospice care. It’s been a tough few weeks. But I’m glad to announce that a great guy is gonna help out Heroes on the Water St. Louis and fill in for me as Coordinator when I’m busy with life. Everyone meet Mike Fleishour, he is wanting to get into the relaxation of kayak fishing with his son and he has already done a ton for veterans and I’m proud to have him onboard to help out Heroes on the Water. Say hello to Mike #2.

Good afternoon HOW St.L!!!!! Last night we had a planning meeting to plan some events for the 2025 calendar year. I have some dates set but a few of the events I have to get verification on availability and prices. So monitor this page and I will have some information soon. Looks like a possible kick off date for the St. Louis Chapter will be on or around the 18th of April at Whispering Pines of Clinton County. Mark your calendars and let's have some fun! All are invited to come out to meetings in the future, we will make the 3rd Wednesday of each month our meeting night. Meetings will start at 6:00pm at the American Legion Post in Columbia, IL. Hope to see ya all at the meeting!
