If your family is in need of a little help this summer feeding the kiddos, please take advantage of this amazing program.

SUMMER MEALS: When kids are busy riding bikes, playing in parks, or running through sprinklers during the summer, they sure do work up an appetite.

Families with kids ages 0 to 18 are encouraged to visit more than 30 locations across Spokane offering no-cost breakfast and lunch.

Spokane Public Schools Nutrition Services staff are serving meals at twenty-three school sites this summer, so take a walk, visit a playground, and fuel up with nutritious food!

Meals will be served through Aug. 14; there is no service on July 3. Find locations and times at spokaneschools.org/summermeals.

Remember Bloomsday is this Sunday May 3rd. That means streets will be closed in the downtown and West Central area. If you live West of Lindeke St. remember…you need to park your vehicle on the East side of Lindeke or leave the area before 8am. If you don’t you’ll be stuck until the race concludes. Police will be in place and will not let you cross once the race has started. Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a safe Bloomsday Weekend!

This past weekend, April 18th, Spokane C.O.P.S. West helped the Spokane Fire Department with their Blitz event. They used the C.O.P.S. West building on W. Boone Ave as a staging area for distributing and installing smoke detectors in the West Central neighborhood.
