STIX Diabetes Programs Providing year-round programming and summer camps for children and young adults with diabetes.

STIX Diabetes Programs is based on four fundamentals for success:
Support - Campers at our camps will receive the necessary resources to mentally and physically overcome the everyday challenges of having diabetes. Tradition - Camps offers all that traditional summer camps offer, plus a whole lot more! Games such as Capture the Flag, Message to Garcia, A.W.O.L., Counselors Ghost, and activities lik

e arts and crafts, canoeing, swimming and an exciting campfire are part of the tradition of camp. Information - Campers will receive optimum diabetes care from local health care providers and diabetes educators and dietitians. Campers will have the tools and resources to successfully manage their diabetes while at camp by balancing their activity level with their food and insulin intake. X-citement - Camps will never offer a dull moment to children with diabetes. Our summer camp has a ton of activities which will give kids friendship and fun that they will never forget.

Just a reminder that the STIX Camp Store closes on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 AM PST.

If you've been meaning to order camp merch, now is the time! This is a firm deadline, and no late orders or exceptions will be possible.

Orders will be delivered to Camp STIX or Camp TWIGS.

And don't forget to add a Smudgie Plush to your order so you can bring home a little extra piece of camp! 💙

If your camper received a scholarship from the STIX Diabetes Programs for Camp, please remember that a handwritten thank you letter is required as part of accepting the scholarship and must be postmarked by Monday, June 15.

These letters will be forwarded directly to the generous donors and sponsors who help make camp possible for our families. A few heartfelt words from your camper truly make a difference and help our donors see the impact of their support.

Letters should be mailed to:

To protect camper privacy, please do not include full names or identifying information. Campers may sign with either their first name and age (if not highly identifying) or initials and age.

Please include a separate sticky note with the camper's name and age so we can mark the letter as received before forwarding it to the donor.

Last Sunday, we had so much fun fishing at Bear Lake! It was a little chilly at first, but the sun came out, the fish were biting, and everyone who dropped a line caught a fish.

More importantly, it was a day spent fishing with friends both old and new. Kids swapped camp stories, made new connections, and helped first time campers get excited for the summer ahead.

These moments of connection are what make our Outreach events so special. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful day at the lake. We loved seeing friendships grow and can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Camp STIX is officially full for Summer 2026! We are looking forward to an incredible week of camp and can't wait to welcome our campers this summer.

At this time, any new Camp STIX registration requests will be added to our waitlist.

There's still time to register for Camp TWIGS! Registration remains open through June 23, so don't miss your chance to join us for an amazing camp experience.

Don't forget—our STIX Camp Season Kickoff & Vendor Fair is THIS SUNDAY!

Join us on June 7 from 12:00–4:00 PM at Camp Caro Lodge as we kick off another amazing camp season. Whether you're a new camp family, a returning camper, parent, volunteer, or staff member, we'd love to see you there.

Spend the afternoon reconnecting with friends, meeting new camp families, visiting vendors, enjoying games, crafts, lunch, and getting excited for all the fun ahead at Camp STIX and Camp TWIGS.

Thursday is the deadline to RSVP and secure a meal. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by June 4 and include any dietary restrictions so we can have lunch ready for you.

Some volunteers are simply impossible to thank enough 💙

Citrus is not only the DISH Director for both Camp STIX and Camp TWIGS, a huge undertaking in itself but she is also a longtime auction volunteer whose creativity, ideas, and willingness to jump in wherever needed have impacted STIX in more ways than we can count.

Year after year, she shows up for this community in countless ways, often behind the scenes, helping make camp and our programs possible for so many families.

Thank you, Citrus, for the time, heart, humor, and dedication you bring to STIX. We are so incredibly grateful for you.

⚾🎆 STIX Night at the Spokane Indians is back — and this year we’re changing things up!

Join STIX and Breakthrough T1D on Friday, June 26th for an evening at the ballpark as the Spokane Indians take on the Hillsboro Hops followed by a fireworks show after the game!

In the past we’ve gathered on Saturday nights, but this year we’re excited to try something new with a fun Friday night together with another amazing community partner. We would love to fill the stands with our diabetes community for a night of baseball, connection, and summer fun.

See you Sunday at the lake! The weather is looking like a perfect 70° for fishing, trail walks, and spending time together outdoors.

Join us Sunday, May 31st at Bear Lake West Shelter for a fun day of fishing, nature scavenger hunts, exploring the trails, and enjoying the lake together.

Please note: we will be at the shelter near the playground and on the opposite side of the lake from where we met last year.

Bring your lunch and fishing gear if you have it — we’ll provide snacks, drinks, and extra fishing poles to share.
