13 volunteers from 3 different churches (Church at The Mill , Grace Bible Church , and NewSpring Church) recently came together through Serve The Burg to serve alongside Carolina Pregnancy Center.

Some helped prepare for the ministry’s upcoming fundraising gala.
Others washed windows, planted flowers, and helped care for the space where women and families are welcomed every day.

Sometimes serving looks like painting walls.
Sometimes it looks like cleaning windows.
Sometimes it looks like preparing a place where someone walking through a difficult season can feel seen, valued, and cared for.

We’re grateful for partnerships like this that continue helping address Spartanburg’s deepest needs through practical acts of love and compassion.

Some of Spartanburg’s most important work happens quietly.

Recently, volunteers gathered for an appreciation dinner hosted by Hope Center for Children, an organization serving children and families facing crisis, trauma, abuse, neglect, and difficult transitions.

While many in our community may never fully see the day-to-day impact of their work, countless lives are being changed because people choose to show up and care.

We’re grateful for the staff, volunteers, and supporters who continue serving these children and families with compassion, consistency, and hope.

This is what it looks like when the Body of Christ and the community come together to address one of Spartanburg’s deepest needs!

Throughout the National Day of Prayer Breakfast, local prayer leaders guided table discussions and prayer focused on some of the greatest needs in our community.

Rather than simply listening, attendees paused together at their tables to pray intentionally for faith, unity, health, families, those experiencing homelessness, the incarcerated, immigrants, and more.

Thank you to each leader who helped guide our community in prayer.

Thankful for leaders who continue creating spaces for people across Spartanburg to come together in the name of Jesus Christ to pray for our community and the next generation.

Encouraged by what God is doing through partnership, unity, and prayer.

Churches and organizations across the Upstate are observing the National Day of Prayer on Thursday.
