🍎 Kindergarten Ready Starts at Home! 🍎

June is the perfect time to help your preschooler build the skills they'll need for a successful start to kindergarten. Small moments every day can make a big difference!

Here are 5 simple things families can do this month:

✅ Read together every day
Spend 15-20 minutes reading books, talking about pictures, and asking questions about the story.

✅ Practice writing their name
Let your child trace, copy, and eventually write their first name on drawings, cards, and crafts.

✅ Build independence
Encourage your child to put on shoes, zip jackets, wash hands, and clean up toys on their own.

✅ Count and sort during play
Count snacks, sort laundry by color, or identify shapes around the house to build early math skills.

✅ Talk, talk, talk!
Conversations help build vocabulary. Ask open-ended questions like, "What was your favorite part of today?" and "Why do you think that happened?"

🌟 Remember: Kindergarten readiness isn't about knowing everything. It's about developing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

We're proud to share Hello Family's annual report!

The latest annual report highlights how a coordinated, community-wide approach is improving outcomes for families across Spartanburg.

In Year 3, we saw meaningful progress:
✨ Fewer low-birthweight births
✨ Reductions in C-sections and child maltreatment
✨ Increased breastfeeding initiation
✨ Hundreds of families connected to resources and support

Through programs like , Family Counts, Quality Counts, and Triple P, Hello Family continues to meet families where they are to provide the care, education, and connections they need from pregnancy through early childhood.
