Treat Your Feet for Hand in Hand!

Please drop by the First Presbyterian High School Sunday School room (2nd floor of the Family Life Center) on Tuesday, December 9 from 9-11 to show your support for Hand in Hand Ministry in any or all of the following ways:
1. Buy a pair of ladies shoes for the bargain price of $20! All shoes are new in boxes from a prior season and have been anonymously donated by a show store in Georgia. Original retail prices of the shoes range from $90-$300.
2. Make a Christmas donation to Hand in Hand in honor of your loved ones. Donation cards will be available for you to give as gifts to the people you honor.
3. Bring a food donation for the Hand in Hand pantry. Items most needed: Canned meats (chicken, tuna, Vienna sausages, Spam), canned chunky soups, and rice packets.

Payment for shoes and donation gift cards can be made by cash or check. 100% of proceeds go directly to Hand in Hand's work. All donations are tax deductible.

Hand in Hand works in collaboration with Spartanburg County School District social workers who identify children and families in need.

Spartanburg Community Thanksgiving Service!

For this year's football matchup, the students of Dorman High School and Spartanburg High School proved that a little school rivalry can make a real difference. As a show of spirit and competition, the Vikings and Cavaliers took part in a competitive fundraiser, “Donate a Dollar, Lend a Hand.” As the teams battled it out under the lights, the schools were also competing off the field collecting dollars for Hand in Hand. Thanks to the generosity of students, families, and fans, the true winners were the children and families those dollars helped support. Thank you Cavaliers and Vikings!

🩷 Families in Crisis Need Us — Now More Than Ever

Right here in Spartanburg County, countless children and families are facing an unimaginable reality. With the elimination of SNAP benefits — the essential support that once helped families afford food — many are now living with hunger, fear, and uncertainty.

At Hand in Hand, we’re seeing the heartbreak up close.
Parents are not eating so their children can.
Families are rationing toilet tissue or have none at all.
Children are going without warm clothing as temperatures drop.

These are our neighbors — families doing their best in the face of chronic poverty.

We believe no child in Spartanburg County should go hungry. No parent should have to choose between food and warmth. And no family should have to face these struggles alone.

You can make a difference today.

Women Giving for Spartanburg Grant
Hand in Hand was extremely honored and deeply grateful to be named a 2025 Women Giving for Spartanburg grant recipient. Grant funds will be directed to Mayo, a neighboring community within Spartanburg School District 2, which has a child poverty rate of 100%—the highest in the county. Many thanks to Women Giving for Spartanburg for their impactful investment in the lives of these children and families. Thank you for bringing light into darkness and renewed hope into the hearts of so many!
