A year ago today on May 16th 2025 an EF-4 Tornado came through Pulaski and Laurel Counties and changed life's forever, which was on the ground for almost an hour and a half, killing 18 people and injured 108 others. May we never forget the life's lost, the ones injured, the properties lost, the first responders that responded, and all that was involved or effected.

It’s been 24 years today since one of the darkest days in the history of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, the loss of Sheriff Sam Catron. Sheriff Catron lost his life, serving the community he loved. Sheriff Catron truly embodied what it means to be a public servant, working tirelessly to protect the citizens of this county. Sheriff Catron’s dedication has lived on through the men and women who followed him. We ask as you go through your day, to say a little prayer in remembrance of Sheriff Catron.
