Team General Rental got in their rounds under the lights during this week's S***t League action at the Pulaski Outdoorsmen Club's shooting range.

The ruling was that both targets were broken with a single shot. In official American s***t (governed by the National S***t Shooting Association), if a shooter breaks both targets of a double pair with a single shot, the shooter does not automatically get two dead targets credited from that single pull. The result of such a scenario is the first target is established as 'hit', but the shooter must shoot a 'proof double' to legally determine the score of the second target. A 'proof double' is a repeat of a regular double requiring two live rounds of ammo. The shooter must shoulder the gun and shoot at the new pair; whatever the score on the second target of the proof double is what gets marked down for that second target.

Per the Rule,

If the shooter is deprived of a normal second shot for the reason that both targets are broken with the first shot, the first shot shall be scored as a 'hit', and the second target only shall be declared 'no bird', and a proof double shall be fired to determine the result of the second shot. See NSSA Rule III-E-5-e.

Our scoring system software is being updated (to calculate the current handicaps with some mid-season roster changes), and the previous 3 weeks of Team Points have yet to be added, but here are the Individual standings after 14 Weeks, and the Team standings after 11 Weeks, for the Summer S***t League at our Club. (We'll post current standings as soon as the system updates.)
