🦝 A New Little One was found laying with her deceased mom & 2 siblings 🦝
We made a difficult decision to stop taking in new critters for a while. The out-of-pocket expenses of caring for these babies can add up very quickly, and without enough financial support, it simply isn’t possible for us to continue taking in every little life that needs help.
But sometimes, a little one comes along who needs more than just a safe place. She was scared, but now she is safe & playful ❤️
I have a single raccoon in my care, and raccoons really shouldn’t be raised alone. They are social animals, and having another raccoon to grow up with is so important for their development and well-being. Together they will both learn to be raccoons.
When this little one needed a place, we made the decision to open our hearts—and nursery—once again.
Not to pressure anyone or make anyone feel obligated to donate. I just want you to understand the reality behind wildlife rehabilitation. Every bottle, formula, medication, bedding, enclosure, and veterinary expense comes directly out of pocket when donations aren’t available.
We do what we can, with what we have, for as long as we can. ❤️ It is hard turning critters away, ignoring phone calls when you know these critters need your help.
Today, this little baby has a full belly, a safe place to sleep, and a new little friend waiting to grow up alongside them. 🦝
